Disability Certificate West Bengal Eligibility Criteria
As per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, to get a disability certificate in West Bengal, a person must be having any one of the following disabilities:

Intellectual Disability | Autism Spectrum Disorder Intellectual Disability Specific Learning Disabilities |
Multiple Disabilities | Blindness Low Vision Leprosy Cured Persons Hearing Impairment Locomotor Disability Dwarfism Intellectual Disability Mental Illness, Etc. |
And that disability should be at least 40% to avail the government benefits.
How to Apply?
The application procedure for the disability certificate in West Bengal is outlined below:
Step 1: Online Registration
1.Visit the website of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal.
2.Click on the area that deals with the issue of a Disability Certificate.
3.Fill out the online application form using personal details and disability-related details.
3.Upload scanned images of the required documents.
Step 2: Medical Examination
1.After submitting online, the applicant is supposed to report to a designated medical authority or hospital.
2.A medical board of specialists will evaluate the nature and extent of the disability.
3.The board will issue a recommendation based on the medical examination.
Step 3: Issuance of Certificate
1.If accepted, the disability certificate is issued either in digital format or as a physical document.
2.The applicant can download the certificate from the portal or collect it from the issuing authority.
